Late each afternoon, after all four strands have taken place, we offer what we call Exploratories. Campers sign up for these one-time hour-long classes each day. The idea is for the campers to be able to dabble in something that might be new for them, or that they just think would be fun. Taught by staff and Leadershippers, these have included such classes as Active Games, Swimming, Mural Making, Learning Elvish, Dress-Up Improv, Music Appreciation, Flash Mob Dance, Philosophy, Origami, All Things British, Tennis, Cryptography, Real-Life Battleship, Paleontology, and Slam Poetry. Campers love Exploratories and consistently give them high marks on their evaluations.
