TDI@Home 2021
Engagement, connections, learning, and fun!

When:  Weekdays of June 21- 25 and June 28 - July 2, 2021

What:  A virtual program that is a cross between a summer camp and an academic institute, for bright, advanced, and gifted children entering grades 4-10.  We offer academic and creative classes and other activities in a relaxed summer camp program on Zoom. Our staff is committed to making the best out of virtual, and is creating a program full of engaging social connections, learning, and fun!

We are again giving you four session options from which your child may pick and choose. Each session is 3 hours and 15 minutes long, with an all-group meeting (new!), one strand period, and one exploratory period each session:
Wk 1 mornings, Wk 1 afternoons, Wk 2 mornings, Wk 2 afternoons
Tuition for each session is $230.  Partial scholarships are available.

In-person Leadership Program to Run at NVU!

You may have heard that the TDI Leadership Program will take place on-campus at Northern Vermont University for the first week of TDI.  It is true!  We have 22 (or so) Leadership One, Two and Three participants who have registered for this in-person program.  Many staff and participants will be vaccinated, which gives us the confidence to run the program safely.  We will be interfacing in the afternoons with the virtual program for campers, so virtual campers may get glimpses of us on campus!

We have applied for a Summer Matters grant which, if received, will allow us to cut the cost of this program for families substantially.

Virtual TDI Kids Connections

When: Saturdays once a month, 2-4:30 pm. Next one is May 15, 2021.

Where: Virtual on Zoom; when we receive your RSVP, we will send you a confirmation email with the pertinent information to log into the password protected Zoom call.

What:  Free Saturday afternoons of Zoom gathering and activities, for TDI-aged (grades 4-9) students during the pandemic.  These activities are offered by past TDI staff members, and will be similar to our TDI Exploratories--an assortment of topics that should appeal to many.

RSVP to will@tdivermont.org if you're interested in coming. See you all soon!

May 22nd Parent Connections VIRTUAL meeting

What:  Join Dr. Trevor Tebbs and Dr. Carol Story for a casual (virtual) social gathering for parents of gifted children, as well as for professionals who serve gifted children, with guided discussion and sharing of information and resources. Come be part of our supportive community of people invested in the well-being of gifted children!  Please share this invitation with anyone you feel may benefit, as all interested adults are welcome.  For event-related questions and to RSVP, please contact Sara at wilkins.sara@hotmail.com.

TDI Vermont Connections events are mainly peer-focused gatherings sponsored by the Talent Development Institute / Green Mountain Center for Gifted Education.  The Institute provides technical support and professional expertise in response to local groups’ needs.
